Celebrating Series – Anthea Sharp

Because I like reading in a lot of different genres, today’s Celebrating Series selection is Young Adult. In fact, it’s one of my favorite YA series, since it’s both futuristic and realistic. I bought completely into the concept of Anthea Sharp’s Feyland series due to the depth of the characters and the well-rounded world she’s created. I welcome Anthea’s stories to my newsblog today and highly recommend them:

The award-winning Feyland Series by Anthea Sharp

What if a high-tech computer game was a gateway to the treacherous Realm of Faerie?

In a near-future world of immersive tech, rich-girl Jennet Carter stumbles into the Dark Realm of Faerie. Her only hope is elite gamer Tam Linn, a boy from the wrong side of the tracks, who’s grown up in a world full of poverty and hardship. Together, they must forge an alliance and learn to trust their hearts in order to save the mortal world and defeat the Dark Queen.

“This is a great series that deserves more attention. The books are quick and exciting reads, and if you like stories based on fairy tales, or if you enjoyed both the portrayal of the fae in Mercy Thompson and October Daye and the virtual world of Ready Player One, you will love this series.” – Kate, Epic Chocolate Fantasy

“Ms. Sharp is a master storyteller… The Feyland books have found a prized place on my all-time favorite books list.” – Rebecca McKinnon, The Crooked Word
