Evernight’s Christmas Blog Hop

BlogHop1S

Welcome to the Evernight Holiday Blog Hop!

We love the holidays, we love making our readers happy and we love giving away swag. What better way to do that than to hold a blog hop?

Here’s how it works… the more blogs you hop to (shown below) the more chance you have of winning prizes. Each site on the hop is offering a prize and Evernight is offering an iPad 2 as the grand prize! To be in with a chance of winning the site prize simply follow the blog you’re visiting and leave a comment which includes your email address. Each entry on each blog is then counted towards the grand prize draw. The more entries you have, the better your chance of winning that iPad 2! You also get extra points for liking the Evernight Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/#!/evernightpublishing. Just make sure you let us know in the comments that you’ve done so.

Happy hopping!

Hi, everyone! I hope you have a blast hopping from site to site. And don’t forget to mention in your comments if you follow Evernight Publishing on Facebook and if you followed this blog. Best of luck to you all. And check out my novella below if you’re looking for a hot, emotional read. I’m GIVING AWAY a free digital copy of it to one lucky commenter!

Forever Men by Lace Daltyn

Walls crumble when you build a forever love.

As a couple, the deep, sensual connection between Desi and Alec is imaginative and limitless, even though Desi’s fear that love is transient keeps her from telling her man how she feels. Fun-loving Alec, who lost his parents in a tragic accident, has found that kind of forever love again. He’ll do whatever it takes to keep it, including giving Desi the one thing he lacks—a partner with a serious side.

With their fledgling construction company headed for the skids if they don’t finish the job on time, Desi and Alec are frantic to catch up. Enter Alec’s friend, Matt, a man haunted by the “dull and unimaginative” label his ex-fiancé pinned on him.

Working side by side, a thirst grows that seems unquenchable and each must come to terms with old hurts in order to consider possibilities never before imagined.

And here’s a quick excerpt:

Desi tugged at Alec’s chest hair, laughing. “Okay, so maybe I did need a break.”

Alec reached up and pinched a taut nipple between his fingers. “Anytime you need help relaxing, babe, I’m your man.” He looked at his watch. “You might want to get dressed, though. I found us some help. He should be here soon.”

She yelped. “Soon?” Desi jumped up, grabbed for her clothes and headed for the most secluded part of the second floor.

“Why didn’t you tell me someone was coming?”

“I figured we had enough time.” He grinned. “Looks like we did.”

Alec pulled his jeans on and walked over to lean against the framework. He saw the truck tucked back almost out of sight and grinned. With a wave of his arm, he motioned Matt in.

While Desi pulled herself together, he went downstairs to greet him. Seeing the bulge in his friend’s jeans, Alec’s grin widened.

“See anything interesting?” he said, slapping Matt on the back.

“Shit, man. Couldn’t you have gotten a room?”

“Hey, there are two floors of them, right here.”

“A room with walls, man. Walls!”

Tag lines

I had so much fun talking about my tag line dilemma on a couple of my guest blogs that I thought I’d post the entire blog here on my blog. I hope it gives you as many chuckles as it gave me:

With all the attention that erotic stories are getting these days, I thought I’d dip my toes in the deep end of the pool, so to speak. I got lucky with this first story. These characters made it easy for me to design a setting, put them to work, then let them pound out their differences. Hey, I didn’t mean it like THAT!  (Well, maybe I did just a little.)

Have you figured out yet that there’s a construction theme to my story? J I had a lot of fun writing this story, but had the worst time coming up with a tag line for it. That’s not entirely true. I came up with one pretty quickly, but it didn’t fit the mood of the story. Forever Men has some funny moments in it, but it’s a serious look at relationships. So I needed a serious tag line, and came up with:

Walls crumble when you build a forever love.

Not bad, right? It sets a good tone for the novella and is a good intro for the blurb. There’s just one problem. I can’t get the first tag line out of my head. So I thought it would be fun to blog about it.

You remember that construction theme, right? And that this is an erotic novella? The original tag line I came up with was…drum roll, please:

Building a forever love, one screw at a time.

🙂  What do you think? Should I have used it? It cracks me up every time I read it. lol

Should I have or shouldn’t I have? Which tag line would you picked?

I’m guest-blogging at my friend Jillian Chantal’s place today about the tag line I wanted to use for Forever Men but couldn’t. I picked the serious one. It felt more like the tone of the story. But the other one is stuck in my mind like a skipping cd. So stop on over and let me know if I chose the right tag line for my story:
